Vance was an agent of Project Cadmus.

History

Vance worked in the Justice League's Watchtower, but was secretly a mole for Project Cadmus. He transferred valuable information to Task Force X, who were planning a heist on the Watchtower's supply room. After the raid was successful, J'onn J'onzz grew suspicious of his assistant Vance, since he wasn't able to read his mind. Cadmus had provided him with some sort of method to mask his thoughts.^[1]
